Jeffrey Ngo is an activist historian of and from Hong Kong. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. in History at Georgetown University, he also served as Chief Researcher and standing committee member for Demosistō, the Hong Kong-based youth political group that advocates self-determination. After graduating with his M.A. and B.A. from New York University, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Toronto in 2017–18. Additionally, he is one of the lead architects of “Decoding Hong Kong’s History,” a public history project that collects, digitizes, and analyzes declassified files related to Hong Kong from archives around the world. He is now based in Washington.
